It’s finally happening: the Kansas City Royals will face Japanese wunderkind and modern Babe Ruth cosplayer Shoehei Ohtani on the mound. Yes, the Los Angeles Angels have already unleashed Ohtani’s bat against the Royals, but this is the first time the Royals will face him on the mound.

To counter, the Royals will use some sort of lineup, which they curiously have yet to release. Who knows. Maybe they are scared of Ohtani.

Wouldn’t you be? Everyone loves him. I wouldn’t be opposed to Ohtani throwing a perfecto against the Royals, because that would easily be the coolest thing to happen to this year’s Royals squad.
