Hunter Dozier has played over 3700 innings in his professional career. To date, he has played exactly zero at the big league level. Well, today is his lucky day, because Mike Moustakas is getting another day off because of a muscle strain and Ned Yost’s dart landed on the ‘shortstop’ section of the Alcides Escobar Dart Board.
Seriously: Alcides Escobar has played more career innings at third for the Royals, and until two weeks ago he had only played shortstop. The hell? Ah, whatever. Trevor Oaks is also getting a start in place of the injured Ian Kennedy.

The Cleveland Indians will counter with Trevor Bauer, drone-lover and Accuser of Houston for doing bad things. And a lineup that is actually good.
Today, we're highlighting a great picture of some fireworks, a staple on the Fourth of July.

Today, we're also celebrating our independence while recognizing the sacrifices made that have granted us the freedom to play the game of baseball.#RallyTogether pic.twitter.com/vveMKiMAwZ
There will be fireworks after the game, launched by the Royals. There will also probably be fireworks during the game, launched by the Indians. So, eh. So it goes.
