Sunday Thread: THE STREAK IS DEAD

NO OUTCEDIES OUTSCOBAR!

MLB: Boston Red Sox at Kansas City Royals Peter G. Aiken

IT’S OVER.

In breaking news, the worst player in baseball will NOT be starting today for the first time in 421 games. That’s such an uber-psychotic sentence to type but it’s finally true!

No, I’m not going to give you any of that “Long Live the Streak!” craft. Screw the streak. The Royals being prideful of starting a truly awful player for that many games in a row was embarrassing. Good riddance that it’s over.

Let’s get positive now though, because I am in a great mood! I don’t even care that Jake Junis was scratched with an elbow injury, putting some dude named Heath Fillmeyer in the starting spot. I don’t even care that the Red Sox drew more walks last night than the Royals have drawn in their last nine games. I’m just excited to watch the Escboar-less Royals.

Also, my fiance is dragging me around to a lot of errands in Kansas City afterwards, so I’m going to bring the computer to Kauffman Stadium and write the recap there. Gonna give this a shot. Let’s try that spiffy WiFi of yours, Royals!
