This season is a stinker and all he we have to look forward to is the future. So I thought this question on the Twooter was interesting.
Let's imagine MLB expands to 32 teams. They inform the current 30 teams that they can protect just 10 players from their 25-man roster AND minor leagues. The expansion teams will draft out of the remaining players.

Quote this with the 10 players you would protect at all costs.
So it should be pretty easy to think of the players you WOULDN’T protect. But who is worth keeping in this organization? You would probably want to hang onto the young players in the organization. Which prospects would you take - Seuly Matias? Khalil Lee? Nick Pratto? M.J. Melendez? Nicky Lopez? Would you keep any young Major Leaguers? Adalberto Mondesi? Jorge Soler? Jakob Junis? Would you keep vets like Salvy or Moose, if only to trade them? Don’t feel like you have to keep anyone because of their contract, in fact, that should be a reason to jettison them.
Give us your ten players in the organization you would protect in the comments below.
