We can see the light at the end of the tunnel

Danny Duffy has had a really rough year. About a year ago, of course, he was arrested for a DUI after passing out in a Burger King drive thru. Then, Eric Hosmer and Lorenzo Cain signed elsewhere, two of his longtime teammates and friends. Mike Moustakas was traded in July. And Duffy has struggled mightily on the mound, following up a very nice season last year with a stinker.

Ol’ Duff has a few more starts to try to turn it around, but any turnaround worth its salt will have to be done next year. Ironically, Duffy’s poor season is exactly why he’s still a Royal. If he had been good, there was basically no way he would still be on the team by the end of December.

Regardless, today’s a simple baseball game between two bad teams. Enjoy it, or not. Die anyway. Eat Arby’s.
