Minnesota Twins series preview: What’s the point?

New, 11 comments
MLB: Cleveland Indians at Minnesota Twins Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

In the past month, the face of the Twins has changed pretty considerably with Brian Dozier, Fogo de Chão hype man Eduardo Escobar, Zach Duke, Lance Lynn, and Ryan Pressly all donning uniforms of other teams. Having fallen out of contention, they moved seemingly every piece that wasn’t going to be around next year, as teams in their situation should.

Game times and pitching matchups are as follows:

  • Friday, August 3 — 7:10 PM CDT — Heath Fillmyer versus Jake Odorizzi
  • Saturday, August 4 — 6:10 PM CDT — Burch Smith versus José Berríos
  • Sunday, August 5 — 1:10 PM CDT — Danny Duffy (L) versus Ervin Santana
