Look man, I’ve written for this site for five seasons and I have enjoyed every lick of it. I’ve written hundreds of recaps. But there is no need whatsoever for this to be more than 100 words.
The Royals lost to the Indians, 14-6. The Indians scored 10 runs in one inning. Brian Goodwin hit a grand slam in the ninth inning.
Ian Kennedy kept things relatively close until the floor fell out in that disastrous frame. He finishes his year with a 3-9 record and a 4.66 ERA. They still have two more years on the contract.
The Royals are 57-103.
Let me say this: Come out tomorrow night to the K one more time. I’m excited for the “Thank You Fireworks” spectacular show. I get to watch Jake Junis one more time. There are only two more games until the long, cold winter hits the K, and I plan on seeing these guys in person once more.
It hasn’t been a good year for the Royals. But Kauffman Stadium is one of the best places in the world to watch a baseball game, and I’m looking forward to seeing that one more time this year.
