The series has returned to Houston and the Yankees are just barely hanging on. Both teams will be using openers, tonight, as they go for bullpen games thanks to the schedule changes caused by rain earlier this week.
The Yankees will go with Chad Green who opened 15 games for them during the regular season with a 4.17 ERA. But he’s already given up two runs and a homer in this Championship series in 3.2 innings.
The Astros will counter with Brad Peacock who pitched the final inning of game five and thus will be starting on zero games’ rest. He started the year in the rotation before moving to the bullpen after an injury they kept him out from the end of June until nearly the end of August. He walked almost a batter per inning after the move so the Yankees would be wise to show some patience against him.
