Royals Review is hiring!

At least someone in baseball is signing free agents.

Have you always wanted to be in the non-monetarily rewarding industry of sports blogging? Baseball teams may not be interested in signing new free agents, but we are! Royals Review is looking for aspiring bloggers to join our team. We can offer a platform that exposes your work to thousands of readers per day with creative flexibility on what you want to write about.

We are looking for writers who are pretty good at the writing thing with the goodest grammar and speling. We are looking for writers who can do at least one of the following types of writing;

  • Opinion pieces, reacting to Royals or baseball news
  • Solid analysis based on advanced metrics, data and/or film
  • Scouting reports on minor league and/or amateur prospects
  • The legal and business aspects of baseball

I am open to other kinds of writing as well if they are well-written and fit what we do. No experience is necessary although there is a strong preference for applicants that can provide some sort of writing sample, preferably about baseball. There is also a strong preference towards those who are already regular readers of the site.

This is a paid (although certainly not lucrative) position, and you would be expected to produce at least one article per week.

If you are interested, please email me at maxrieper1978@gmail.com. Provide a short (2-4 sentences) description of yourself and tell us:

  • Why do you want to write for Royals Review?
  • What kind of articles would you be interested in writing?

Provide a link to 1-3 writing samples, or attach them to the email. I’ll take submissions through next week (March 1). Have any questions? Shoot me an email or inquire below.
