The Royals will look for a series split today to get back on the winning side of things. Ryan O’Hearn sits against lefty James Paxton, with Jorge Lopez taking the mound today. The Royals also announced that Glenn Sparkman was optioned to AAA Omaha. A corresponding roster move will be announced on Monday, so the Royals are technically playing short today, althogh Sparkman was certainly unavailable after his long relief performance yesterday.

Injuries have decimated the Yankees, with the newest blow being the loss of Aaron Judge who left Saturday’s game with a side injury and was placed on the injured list today. That has left the Yankees with a lineup more befitting of the International League than Yankee Stadium.
We go for the series win today.
