Game 24 Thread: Royals vs Devil Rays

Ah yes, the TROP. The terrible TROP.

Hunter Dozier’s out with a back strain tonight. That’s bad. Dude’s been hitting like Mike Trout this year. In his place tonight will be...Chris Owings at third base! Woo frickin’ hoo! This has a cascading effect on the Royals hastily-assembled and bizarre roster construction. Jorge Soler is playing in right field, and Lucas Duda is in the lineup. Neither of those things are good, and are emotionally akin to a toddler sitting across from you and an extremely sweaty guy sitting next to you on a cross-country flight.

Homer Bailey is taking the mound, and if he climbs back to being worthwhile this year it will be one of the more interesting comeback stories of this season.

Of course, the Royals are playing the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. At the Trop. Yee—and I cannot stress this enough—haw.

Anyway, the Devil Rays don’t have their lineup posted as I write this, so we’re just going to have to squeeze our eyes like oranges that make Tropicana orange juice and pretent what the Rays lineup is going to be. It’ll probably be...better than the Royals. That, however, is not a difficult thing to predict.
