After facing the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field just one week ago, the Kansas City Royals will host this time at Kauffman Stadium. The Indians have been good this year—at 45-38, they sit comfortably in second place in the AL Central behind the Minnesota Twins. With that being said, they do not hold either of the Wild Card slots, and if the season ended today they would be out of the postseason.
The biggest thing about tonight’s game for Kansas City is Adalberto Mondesi, who is returning from his injury for the first time. Jake Junis is on the mound. They will go up against Trevor Bauer.

We're shaking off the cobwebs from a day off.

The Royals have been in last place in the division since April 3. But with a few bounces, the Royals could move into fourth place, with the Detroit Tigers taking last. Something to keep an eye on, at least.
