The Royals may be way back in the standings, but fan confidence in the direction of the team has spiked upwards following a hot streak in the second half of the season. The Royals won 9 of their first 13 games after the All-Star break with improved pitching and a younger roster. According to our latest FanPulse results, fan confidence in the direction of the club is at 72 percent, up from 47 percent two weeks ago.

Manager Ned Yost has also enjoyed a spike in his approval rating, with 63 percent of FanPulse respondents giving the thumbs up to the skipper, up from 47 percent two weks ago.

With the trade deadline just a week away, FanPulse also asked who is the best player that could get dealt this month?

I guess FanPulse doesn’t think Whit Merrifield will get dealt!
