Royals release 2020 promotional schedule

This is the way.

If seeing Adalberto Mondesi, Jorge Soler, and Whit Merrifield isn’t enough to get you out to the K, the Royals will also be giving away several promotional items this season. The club has released its 2020 promotional schedule with five bobblehead giveaways throughout the season.

The first giveaway comes on the home opener, April 2 against the Mariners, when all fans will receive a free magnetic schedule. The first bobblehead giveaway will come on May 23 against the Rangers, when the first 15,000 fans will receive a Jorge Soler bobblehead. Other bobblehead giveaways include June 6 against the Indians (Hunter Dozier), June 13 against the Twins (Whit Merrifield), July 25 against the Padres (Whitey Herzog), and August 8 against the Twins (George Brett).

Other giveaways include a Royals tote bag (April 18), a welcome home mat (May 16), a Jackie Robinson Monarchs t-shirt (May 17), a 1970 Royals away jersey (June 12), a Hawaiian shirt (June 26), a miniature bullpen cart (June 27), a 6-pack cooler (July 24), baseball trading cards (August 7), a ladies hat (August 22), a lightweight hoodie (September 26), and a team photo (September 27). There will also be t-shirt Tuesdays on May 19, June 30, July 21, and August 11.

Salute to the Negro Leagues Day where fans “dress to the nines” will be Sunday, May 17. The Big Slick Celebrity Softball game will take place Friday, June 5. School Day will be Wednesday, May 6. Fan Appreciation Night will be Saturday, September 26. Futures Night, which gives fans a chance to meet team prospects, will be September 25.

The Royals will also have Theme Nights that will offer certain items with the purchase of a special ticket. Some of the highlights include a Mondi-Lorian bobblehead on Star Wars Day on May 4. a dancing bear bobblehead for Grateful Dead Night on May 22, and a “Mensch on a Bench” bobblehead for Jewish Heritage Day on May 24, and a Christmas in July featuring a Buddy the Elf bobblehead on July 25.

There will also be Theme Nights for Nurse Night, Breast Cancer Awareness Night, Autism Night, Law Enforcement Night, Country Music Night. Firefighter Night, Armed Forces Night, and Teacher Night with giveaways for those that purchase special Theme Night tickets

Bark at the Park will be April 14. There will be a summer firework show on Friday, May 1. Boy Scout Day is May 3. Paint at the Park will be June 4. Girl Scout Day is June 7. Pride Night is June 12. Sluggerrr will have a birthday bash on June 14. Faith and Family Night will be July 18. There will be a “Retro Night” to throw back to the 90s on July 24. Girls Night Out is August 22. Viva Los Reales will be September 12. There will also be nights honoring local colleges as well as Sporting Kansas City and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Sundays will continue to be Family FunDay, Mondays will be Price Chop Mondays, Buck Nights will still take place on Friday, and the team will offer discounts for Student Nights and 610 Saturdays.
