Royals announce 2021 promotional giveaways and events

When fans return, there will be swag.

The Royals couldn’t have any fans at games in 2020, but they are anticipating the fans returning in 2021, having announced their promotional schedule for the upcoming season today. The promotions kick off on April 1 for Opening Day as all fans will receive a magnetic schedule.

The Royals will give away five bobbleheads this year, with many of the same ones that were scheduled to be given away in 2020. The bobbleheads fans can collect this year include a bobblehead for Jorge Soler on May 8, one for Whit Merrifield on May 22, Hunter Dozier on June 5, Whitey Herzog on August 14, and a yet to be determined bobblehead on July 24.

The team will give away a Jackie Robinson Monarchs tee on Salute to the Negro Leagues Day on May 23. Fans typically use that occasion to “Dress to the Nines.” Other giveaways include a tote bag (April 3), a 1970 away jersey (June 19), a six-pack cooler (July 3), a mini bullpen cart (July 17), a Hawaiian shirt (July 23), baseball trading cards (August 9), a ladies hat (September 18), a lightweight hoodie (October 2), and a team photo on October 3.

School Day will be May 6, Sluggerr’s Birthday Bash will be August 15, and Fan Appreciation Night will be October 2. Some events may still yet be announced, as typical annual events like the Big Slick Celebrity Softball game, Bark at the Park, and Futures Night are not listed on the schedule as of yet. The Royals will continue to offer Buck Nights for Friday home games, where fans can buy hot dogs and peanuts for $1, and they will offer summer fireworks after Friday games from May to August.
