The most beloved Royals of all-time: The Elite Eight

Who are your favorites?

MLB: Minnesota Twins at Kansas City Royals Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

We are down to our final eight most beloved Royals of all time! We divided 64 players into four eras - The Herzog era (1969-1980), the Howser era (1981-1994), the Muser era (1995-2010), and the Yost era (2011-2019). You can see how the third round of voting went for the Herzog and Howser brackets went here, and for the Muser and Yost brackets here.

With just eight players left, vote for your favorite Royals players. Voting will run through Wednesday.

Herzog bracket championship

#1 George Brett vs. #2 Amos Otis

George Brett was a big favorite going into this, and he continues to steamroll his opponents, taking 93 percent of the vote against designated hitter and #4 seed Hal McRae. Amos Otis also fared well with 75 percent of the vote against #3 seed John Mayberry.

Howser bracket championship

#1 Frank White vs. #3 Bret Saberhagen

I thought Frank White would have a closer competition against popular closer Dan Quisenberry, but he took 69 percent of the vote against the #5 seed. Saberhagen pulled off the upset with 58 percent of the vote against #2 seed Willie Wilson.
