The second round of our most beloved Royals bracket continues. We divided the players into four eras - the Herzog bracket (1969-1980), the Howser bracket (1981-1994), the Muser bracket (1995-2010), and the Yost bracket (2011-2019). You can see how the first round of the voting went for the Yost bracket here.

#1 Alex Gordon vs. #9 Billy Butler
Gordo knows defense, and his defended his #1 seeding by taking 96 percent of the vote over slugger Jorge Soler. Billy Butler gives us another upset in a tight race, winning by just five votes over #8 seed shortstop Alcides Escobar.

#4 Eric Hosmer vs. #12 Wade Davis
James Shields taught the Royals how to win, but he couldn’t win his first round matchup against #4 seed Eric Hosmer, with Hos coming through in the clutch with 88 percent of the vote. Wade Davis gives us the biggest upset of the bracket so far by taking 57 percent of the vote against #5 seed Whit Merrifield.

#2 Salvador Perez vs. #7 Danny Duffy
We will always remember Yordano Ventura, but he came up a bit short against World Series MVP Salvador Perez, who took 89 percent of the vote. Danny Duffy had a close vote, but he topped #10 seed Jarrod Dyson with 54 percent of the vote.

#3 Lorenzo Cain vs. #6 Mike Moustakas
LoCain is still very popular, taking 97 percent of the vote against reliever Kelvin Herrera. Mike Moustakas also took his first round matchup with 86 percent of the vote against closer Greg Holland.
