“A lot of it has to do with our arms. Maikel Franco can throw across the infield and Mondi has the plus arm,” Royals manager Mike Matheny said. “It’s sort of one of those things where we’ll always look to see how we can gain [an advantage].”

“Those 14 days of quarantine were no joke,” O’Hearn said in a Zoom call. “Thankfully, I didn’t have any symptoms. … If there is a positive side, I’m here on Day Four of the regular season. I’m healthy, and I’m ready to go.

“It’s kind of scary to see you can have this thing and not even realize it. I had no idea. When they told me that I tested positive, I was shocked. I felt 100-percent healthy.”

We’re all good.’ My statement was it’s going to hit some teams like a tsunami. It’s going to hit them hard and then it’s going to go fast. That’s bad for the game.”
