Old friend alert: Where you can find former Royals in 2020

We’ve missed you.

The Royals were in Cincinnati to play the Reds, but unfortunately fans didn’t get a look at old friend Mike Moustakas with hew new team after the All-Star third baseman was placed on the Injured List. Nor will they get a look at Lorenzo Cain later this year when the Royals play the Brewers, after Cain opted out of the season. And while we were originally scheduled to see Eric Hosmer and the Padres this year, under the new shortened schedule, the Royals will not be matching up against any West Coast teams.

But we did get to see post-season hero Christian Colón on the Reds, as well as former Royals pitcher Alec Mills, now on the Cubs. Here is where you can find former Royals around baseball in 2020. Included are all the players on 60-man club pools, whether they are active or not, as well as notable players that are on the Injured List or that opted out.

Some former Royals pitchers have had success this year. Johnny Cueto lost a no-hitter through a weird play (non-play?). The A’s are cleaning up with a bullpen featuring Joakim Soria, Liam Hendriks, and Burch Smith - yes, Burch Smith!
