Welcome to SB Nation Reacts (formerly known as SB Nation Fanpulse), a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Royals fans, sign up HERE to join SBN Reacts.
The risk of COVID-19 has hung over the entire season, with over 100 players having tested positive for the virus so far. Most of those players have been asymptomatic, although Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman suffered very severe symptoms and Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez has a heart condition that may be a result of the coronavirus. In addition, Cubs pitching coach Tommy Hottovy had severe symptoms and even Royals manager Mike Matheny suffered symptoms.
The baseball season appeared to be in jeopardy in its first week when the Miami Marlins had an outbreak on their roster with 18 players testing positive, causing their season to be paused for a week. Despite the outbreak, 68 percent of SBN Reacts respondents think the season should continue.

Since then, seventeen games have been postponed after concerns the Phillies may have caught the virus from the Marlins, followed by players on the Cardinals testing positive. Commissioner Rob Manfred has said that the Marlins outbreak is not a “nightmare scenario”, but that players need to do a better job of preventing the spread of the virus or else the season would have to shut down. We asked SBN Reacts fans what it would take to force MLB to cancel the season, and a majority said that MLB would shut things down if multiple teams had half their roster test positive.
