The Royals take on the Twins in Game 162, the season finale. It has been quite a roller coaster season for the Royals from dizzying highs in April to soul-crushing lows in the May and June to tepid cromulence in the second-half of the season.
Jackson Kowar will try to end his rookie season on a positive note after a very frustrating start to his big league career.
Here's how we will take the field behind Jackson Kowar for our final game of the 2021 season.#TogetherRoyal pic.twitter.com/V7yEceOhmv

Charlie Barnes has as many games and starts as Kowar in his career, and while the former Clemson Tiger hasn’t struck hardly anyone out, his 5.86 ERA is nearly half what Kowar’s ERA stands at right now. He’s an anonymous soft-tossing lefty, which has traditionally given Royals hitters fits.
