Tuesday Thread: Rays at Royals

Game 2 in the three-game series

MLB: Tampa Bay Rays at Kansas City Royals Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

If the Royals want to keep their “only AL team that hasn’t lost a series yet” streak alive, they’re going to need to win tonight and tomorrow. One step at a time.

Tonight, Opening Day starter Brad Keller will get the ball, coming off of his best start of the young season, and he will try to keep the defending AL champs quiet. He will be countered by lefty Rich Hill, who has struggled in the early going, just like Keller. Both pitchers have an ERA of at least 7.50 entering tonight’s game.

Here is the lineup that the Royals will use in what will be one of the coldest games in recent history: Merrifield 2B, Santana 1B, Perez C, Soler DH, Alberto 3B, Dozier RF, Benintendi LF, Taylor CF, Lopez SS.
