The Royals have dropped three of four and will look to get right tonight against Cleveland. Sam Hentges will make his first MLB start after three relief appearances and a 4.76 ERA. The 24-year old left-hander features a mid-90s fastball and a curve, with a bit of a slider.
Mike Minor takes to the hill after a rough outing his last time out against a weak Pirates lineup. The rotation seems like a fluid situation right now, and Minor is a veteran who was signed to a multi-year deal, but he does have experience as an effective reliever, and you have to wonder how long his leash will be if he continues to look inconsistent. That being said, he is missing bats, and his starts have seemingly been a pitch or two away from being pretty good, so perhaps we’re just seeing him run into some bad luck.
The lineup, after a short dry spell, has scored 31 runs in their last five games.
