Friday Night Thread: White Sox at Royals

Please end the streak. Please.

MLB: Cleveland Indians at Kansas City Royals Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Friday night baseball at the K! The Royals have lost five straight, and they’re in desperate need of a win to turn around what’s been a rough start to May.

In town are the Chicago White Sox, arguably Kansas City’s biggest competition for the AL Central crown. The pitching matchup, on paper, looks brutal tonight. Brad Keller and his ERA of 8.06 goes to work against Carlos Rodon, who is 4-0 and sports an ERA of 0.72. The two starters have pitched a near identical number of innings (25.0 for Rodon, 22.1 for Keller), yet the other numbers are eye-popping. Keller has allowed 36 hits this year. Rodon? Just seven. In four games.

Tonight would be an excellent way to buck the losing ways. Every winning streak starts somewhere.
