This California road trip has been nothing but a gigantic dumpster fire for the Kansas City. They have won one (1) game in the six games of this road trip, after losing their last two before this road trip. The Royals have scored two or fewer runs in half of their last eight games, and they have lost by at least five runs four times already on this road trip. They’re doing absolutely nothing right.

Welcome to baseball, though! Today, the Royals will attempt to turn things around before a short six-game homestand against the lowly Detroit Tigers and the less-lowly Boston Red Sox. Kris Bubic, who has been arguably the best of the Royals’ starters from the 2018 draft class, starts today on the mound.
