Welcome to SB Nation Reacts (formerly known as SB Nation Fanpulse), a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Royals fans, sign up HERE to join SBN Reacts.

We are more than a third of the way into the baseball season, and things have definitely not gone by the book so far. Three of the top six division title leaders did not win the division last year, and teams that were predicted to be juggernauts like the Yankees, Dodgers, and Padres, have yet to really take off.

We asked SB Nation Reacts fans who they thought was the biggest surprise this year, and the answer was the National League West Division-leading Giants, who have topped both the Dodgers and Padres so far.

But fans they don’t think it can last. Of the teams in first, fans chose the Giants more than any other club as the team that won’t ultimately make the playoffs.

Now which team has been the biggest disappointment?

I feel for Twins fans, but my schadenfreude for seeing Yankees fans and media freak out over a .500 start has no bounds.

Speaking of disappointments, Royals fans have been disappointed at the team’s recent performance after expectations were raised following a hot April. Fan confidence remains high, although this poll was taken at the beginning of the latest slide where the team has dropped 10 of 11. As of June 10, 77 percent of Royals fans were confident in the team, a number that has undoubtedly fallen in the last week.
