Welcome to SB Nation Reacts (formerly known as SB Nation Fanpulse), a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Royals fans, sign up HERE to join SBN Reacts.

Maybe baseball doesn’t need a face of the game, but it helps to have exciting young players to showcase and market the game. Fortunately, there seems to be a dynamic crop of youngsters breaking through this year, including infielders Javier Baez of the Cubs, Fernando Tatis, Jr. of the Padres, Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. of the Blue Jays, outfielder Ronald Acuna, Jr. of the Braves, and two-way player Shohei Ohtani of the Angels.

We asked SB Nation fans who they thought the most exciting player in the game is right now, and Ohtani’s amazing pitching/hitting abilities won out.

Hopefully Bobby Witt, Jr. can join that list next year!

But catch Ohtani now, because most fans don’t think he can continue to be a two-way player his entire career.

If he had to stick with one side of the ball, an overwhelming majority of fans think he will stick with the bat.

We also continued our poll of Royals fans on their confidence in the team. As the temperature rises, so is their confidence in the team.
