Hey, it’s the rare Monday evening game! Today, the 111th game of the year, the New York Yankees are comin’ to town to play the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. For a while there, it looked like the Yankees might suffer their first losing season in just about forever. But after getting some reinforcements, including Joey Gallo (lol), they’re back in the saddle. Still, they have a lot of injuries, and are far from full strength.

On the other hand, the Royals suck. Shocker. But the Royals do not suck at Kauffman Stadium, where they are bizarrely three games above .500. They are 17 games below .500 elsewhere. It’s one of the wildest home/away splits I’ve ever seen, and I don’t really have a good explanation for it.

This will also be my third article of the day here at Royals Review. The recap will be my fourth. Hope you like my writing, because that’s what you’re getting today. And if you don’t, well, I’m sorry. Mock it quietly in the corner or something. For now: baseball.
