The Royals travel north to Minnesota this weekend needing to win a road series against the disappointing Twins to avoid tying them for last place. The Royals hold a slight edge on the season series so far, taking 7 of 13, although they have outscored the Twins 75-67 and have split the six games at Target Field so far.

Daniel Lynch struggled his last time out, which may have to do with blisters he suffered. He faces the Twins for the first time in what is a fairly right-handed heavy lineup.

Nicky Lopez and Salvador Perez will lead the offense. Salvy is at DH tonight, where he has hit 14 home runs in just 30 games.

Game time is at 7:10 on Bally Sports Kansas City.
