Sort of. Actually Marshall died earlier this year. Besides being insensitive that remark shows Royals’ insularity and arrogance. Marshall once appeared in 104 games and won a Cy Young. Beyond that, he was one of the brightest players in his era. After he finished his career he got a PhD in physiotherapy and opened a pitching camp and claimed his guts could throw harder and longer than anyone else with less injuries. Only problem was, he got blackballed and even his friends wouldn’t take his calls. His kids couldn’t get jobs. Mike supposedly didn’t buy in to mainstream nonsense and was "dangerous." I once emailed him and he sent back a 1000 word essay on his methods. RIP Mike Marshall!
