Two ex-Royals have died in the last week

Sandy Valdespino spent his last major league games with the 1971 Royals team, hitting .317 with 2 home runs in 18 games. He was 84 years old when he died on February 26.

Dave Nicholson, who had the major league record for strike-outs in a season for many years, never played for the Royals in the majors, but was purchased by KC from Atlanta in the winter of 68. He played 75 games for Omaha in 1969, but was never called up and his career ended then. He was 83 years old when he died February 25th.

May these two Royals rest in peace.
